I’m Jay, a chef with a passion for bold flavours and the rich culture of Spanish cuisine. My journey began in top London kitchens before taking me to Spain, where I fell in love with the energy of traditional tapas bars. After returning to the UK, I spent nearly a decade as Head Chef at The Bank at Bude, a Cornish and Spanish tapas restaurant, earning multiple awards, including a place in OpenTable’s Top 100 Restaurants in the UK.

Inspired by those years, I created Toro Tapas—a place where great food, warm hospitality, and the spirit of Spain come together in the heart of Bude.
